Flow Chart for Paid Positions Funded by Anadolu University

For Paid Positions Funded by Anadolu University

  1. Announcement & Pre-Application
    1. A call for applications is published on Anadolu University’s website.
    2. The announcement is also shared with partner institutions and internal academic units.
    3. Pre-selected candidates are asked to complete the official application forms:

    4. Pre-applications are received by email:
      fellowships@anadolu.edu.tr
  2. Initial Evaluation
    1. Pre-applications are reviewed by a committee consisting of:
      • Vice Rector for Human Resources
      • Vice Rector for International Affairs
      • Coordinator of International Affairs
    2. If the pre-application does not meet the criteria, the applicant will be notified accordingly.
    3. If the pre- application criteria are met, the Academic Evaluation begins.
  3. Academic Evaluation
    1. The application is officially forwarded to the relevant academic unit.
    2. If the unit approves, the application is submitted to the Academic Evaluation Commission (ADEK).
    3. Once ADEK approves, it informs the Human Resources Office. The applicant’s salary is specified at this stage.
  4. Required Documents
    1. The applicant is requested to provide the following:
      1. Academic Credentials (Diplomas, Certificates, etc.)
      2. Credentials
      3. Foreign National Information and Identification Form
      4. First Time International Academic Staff International Form
      5. Academic Performance Information Form
      6. Visa Application Form
      7. Diploma Samples and Certified Translations by a Sworn Translator
      8. Three Passport-Sized Photos
      9. Copy of Passport
      10. International Teaching Certificate (DELTA, CELTA, or TESOL) – required for foreign language instructors (e.g., preparatory classes)
  5. Final Approval & Appointment
    1. The Human Resource Department obtains all necessary documents regarding the academic staff member from the International Relations Office and prepares an “Evaluation Committee Report” for the academic staff member.
    2. A board decision is taken by the university administration. The decision is then submitted to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) with an official proposal.
    3. If approved, a pre-authorization number is provided by YÖK.
    4. The Information Package is sent to the academic staff member via e-mail.
    5. A contract "TİP Sözleşme" is signed between the academic staff and the University Rector.
  6. Work Permit Process
    1. The academic unit registers the applicant’s information on the Ministry of Labor and Social Security system (CSGB).
    2. Once the approved academic staff member pays the required fees, the “Work Permit Card” is delivered.
  7. Arrival & Start of Duties
    1. Upon arrival in Eskişehir, the academic staff member visits the International Affairs Office (UIB).
    2. They officially begin their duties in the assigned academic unit.
