Theme: Let’s Create Sustainable Future Design with Children!

The 5th SDGs Design International Awards 2023 will be presented by Kyushu University and its Centre for Designed Futures.
This year’s theme is “Let’s create sustainable future design with children!” will showcase students’ ideas from around the globe.
Young people will be at the forefront of shaping a future of hope, peace, human rights and environmental justice for all lifeforms.
Students from Kyushu University and around the world will be able to share in and contribute to the “design” of education and sustainable futures through valuing life, being responsible and considerate of one another.
The scope of young peoples’ creative ideas will challenge our perspectives and preconceived ideas of our future worlds.
Multiple entries are also encouraged.

The application guidelines are as follows:

・Schedule (Japan Standard Time)
Application Period: July 1 – October 15, 2023
Announcement of First Review Results for Theme 1: End of October, 2023
Announcement of Final Review Results for Theme 1: Middle of November, 2023
The Award Ceremony: December, 2023 (dates to be announced)

・Prizes:
Theme1: Let’s Create Sustainable Future Design for Children!
Gold Award: 300,000 yen
Silver Award: 100,000 yen
Bronze Award: 50,000 yen

Theme 2: Let’s Create Sustainable Future Design with Children and Companies!
Corporate Awards: 50,000 yen each

Theme 1 and 2: Special Award for High School Student(s)
Special Online Campus Tour by Kyushu University (planned)
Special award(s) for high school students will be given to the best design proposal(s) submitted.

Please design according to the given theme and use the entry form provided on the website. The entry form can be downloaded by clicking on the “Submit Your Entry” button on the website.
